How the BPM detector gives a more reliable tempo estimate
This tool analyzes beat energy, transient spacing and repeated timing patterns instead of relying on a single guess. It compares multiple tempo candidates, checks half-time and double-time alternatives, then returns the tempo with a confidence score so you can see how stable the result is.
How to use it
- Upload a clear music file such as WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A or OGG.
- Wait for the analysis to finish; longer files may take more time on mobile devices.
- Review the detected BPM, key estimate and confidence score before using the value in a release or live set.
Accuracy and confidence note
Tempo detection is still an automatic estimate. Tracks with tempo changes, heavy swing, long intros, ambient sections or weak drums can produce lower confidence. When the score is low, use the tap-tempo check or compare the half/double BPM candidates before exporting any metadata.
File privacy
The audio is decoded and analyzed in the browser. The site does not need to upload the file to a server for BPM or key detection.
