Privacy Policy
1. Scope and responsible party
VibeDowns Studio provides browser-based music and audio tools at vibedowns.com. This policy explains the data processed when you visit the site, use a tool, submit a rating, or save a privacy preference.
For privacy requests, contact [email protected].
2. Audio files and in-browser processing
Files selected in tools such as BPM Detector, Vocal and Stem Remover, Audio Speed, Stereo Width, File Namer, and Audio Lab are processed on your device using the Web Audio API and related browser features.
- Audio content, file names, and exported results are not sent to measurement services.
- The selected file remains in browser memory only for processing and is released when the page closes or the tool is reset.
- Exported files are saved directly to your device.
- Temporary caching by the browser, operating system, or device is governed by that software's own settings.
3. Categories of data processed
- Essential preferences: Language choice, consent choice, preference version, and update time.
- Rating data: Rating value, rating scope, timestamps, and a one-way hashed voter identifier used to limit repeat submissions.
- Technical security data: Request time, page or API route, browser information, and network data required to limit abuse. The hosting provider may also keep standard server logs.
- Consent-based measurement: Visited page, referrer, device and browser type, approximate region, campaign parameters, and general tool actions.
4. Purposes and legal basis
Essential data is processed to operate the site, remember language and privacy choices, protect the rating system, maintain security, and resolve faults. These activities rely on service delivery, legal obligations, and legitimate interests in service security.
Optional measurement and advertising services such as Umami, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, or AdSense load only after explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
5. Umami measurement
After consent, the site uses the Umami service at dashboard.mxyn.cloud. Automatic tracking is disabled; only approved page views, general product events, and basic page-performance metrics are sent. The browser Do Not Track preference is respected. Audio files, file names, free-form text, email addresses, and phone numbers are not included in event data.
Umami does not set analytics cookies. It may process technical session data derived from IP address and browser information to distinguish visits and produce statistics. Retention and deletion are managed through the Umami service configuration.
6. Google services and advertising tags
Google tags load only when the relevant production identifiers are configured and you permit optional measurement. When enabled, Google may use cookies and similar technologies under its own policies. Google measurement and advertising scripts do not load without consent.
7. Rating system
The rating feature creates a random voter ID in the browser to prevent unlimited repeat voting. The server combines it with network and browser information and stores only a one-way hash; the raw voter ID and raw IP address are not written to the rating database. Ratings are retained to produce aggregate results, while older individual records are pruned when the configured limit is reached.
8. Sharing, providers, and transfers
Personal data is not sold. Data may be processed by service providers only as needed for hosting, security, measurement, and advertising. Umami operates at dashboard.mxyn.cloud; when Google services are enabled, data may be processed on Google infrastructure. International transfers may occur depending on provider location.
9. Retention
- The consent cookie is retained for 180 days; the browser preference record may remain until you change or clear it.
- The language preference is retained for up to one year.
- Rating records are retained to preserve aggregate scores and prevent abuse; the number of individual records is capped by server configuration.
- Retention for Umami and any other enabled measurement services is managed in the relevant service settings.
- Security logs are kept only as long as needed for security, fault investigation, and legal requirements.
10. Your rights
Under applicable data protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority.
Please identify the relevant page or action and the scope of your request. Send requests to [email protected].
11. Security and children
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely risk-free. The site is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us if you believe a child's data has been processed.
12. Changes
This policy may be updated when services or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with a revised date, and material changes may be announced separately when appropriate.
